What is Permacool^TM comfort technology?

We all know that heat from the sun can cause dark surfaces to reach high temperatures, especially on very sunny days. This is why Outdoor, Marine and Automotive design teams tend to avoid selecting dark colors for upholstery. They reach excessive temperatures that inhibit proper comfort for the end user. 

How it works

Permacool^TM technology reduces the temperature of upholstery by up to 26 degrees when compared to regular vinyl-coated fabrics. These results were obtained by measurements carried out in accordance with ASTM D 4803-10

Temperature reduction may lessen due to the print, embossing, and color of the coated fabric. The highest temperature reduction is achieved by darker upholstery shades. 

In addition, due to the decrease in heat absorption, there is  less stress on the upholstery which affords coated fabrics with Permacool superior longevity for your creations.
